１日に数えきれないほどクラッシュする私の G3 PowerBook。カーステンが新しいのを買ったら？と勧めてくれますが、今のところはノーサンキュー。買い替えれば当然 OS X 。長い間、一緒に笑ったり悲しんだりしてきたマックアイコンとお別れする準備が未だに出来てないので・・・。OS X の良さはわかってるけどデスクトップアイコンのダサさ、許せないんだけど！スタートアップのアイコンもその他のアイコンも総カスタマイズ、出来るのかな。

My lovely PowerBook G4 freezes very often everyday. Carsten offers me a new mac but I don't need it yet. I'm not ready to say good bye to the mac icon which I smile together and cry together for a long time. I know OS X is good but I cannot bear the new desk top icons. Yuck! Can I customize startup picture and all other icons?

I know what you mean. I had exactly same feeling when I switched to OSX. But, Power Book G4 + OSX is so good. I'm thinking to buy my own one, too. Get money from Yaho-Auc （ヤフオク）and get your Power Book!!!

Hmm, that would be nice but I don't think it's possible. All graphics on OS X are based on scalable PDF and you can't turn off anti-aliasing, I think. It took me a while to get used to it, but now I really like the anti-aliasing, especially when reading long text.

Not because of the icons though, because the modem i have is not compatible with OS X. I need to get a new one.
