There were many tourists in the Shuri castle after all. Everyone paid too much attension to their own umbrella which might break by the wind. Just after Carsten laughed about girls' broken umbrellas, the wind attacked his umbrella! It was very amusing. Thanks!
Afternoon, we walked around near Kokusai Douri. The weather was better, a bit of sunshine sometimes. The shopping streets + market which were started as a black market after the war, have a very special atmosphere. There were many stores; clothing stores (doesn't seem like selling much), vegetables and fruits stores and the souvenir stores in little alleys near the fish + meet market. It was nice to see old ladies were
cutting vegetables for sale while they were selling stuff. In Naha, there are still many old buildings left.
We went to a Chinese style garden
Fukushu en which were built in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of friendship city conclusion of Fujian Fuzhou (famous for oolong tea!) in China and Okinawa city. There are a waterfall and ponds inside a garden (
8,500m² large), it is like the oasis in a city. I was bitten 3 places by a mosquito! Return to nature and commune with it.
