去年の9月、ロンドンのプレタ・マンジェが東京に進出というニュースに大喜びしたものの、まだ足を運んでいませんでした。（現在13店舗がオープン）品川に用事があったので、ついにプレタのサンドと涙の再会。インテリアが全く同じ。懐かし～い！

Last September, I was very happy about Pret A Manger opened the first shop in Tokyo. But I haven't been there yet. I finally went to the one (13 shops in Tokyo at the moment) in Shinagawa today. The interior of a shop is exactly same as London's. It's really good to see you, Pret!

ロンドンで売られているお寿司は、やっぱり無かったけどもクリスプス（ポテチ）はロンドン同様にレジの前にちゃんと並んでました。驚いたのがハーフサイズ（サンドイッチひとつだけ）というものの存在！ロンドンでも今はそうなの？せっかくなのでハーフサイズを2個購入。私はサーモン&クリームチーズ（290円）とアボカド、ロマーノ&ルッコラ（250円）をチョイス。ロンドンに住んでいると、その有り難さは忘れがちですが、やっぱり美味しかった！日本のサンドイッチみたいに具がチョロっと入って薄くてパサパサのサンドイッチじゃないんだから。抹茶マフィン（230円）なんて日本オリジナルメニューもあったので食べてみたけど、ちょっとパサパサ。

There were not any sushi boxes like London but crisps were in front of chasiers in the same way. I was surprised to see the half-size (one sandwich) portion. Is it same in London now? Anyway I tried 2 half-sized "Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese" (¥290) and "Avocado, Romano & Rucola" (¥250). We don't appreciate the value of Pret when we live in London but they are good! Not like Japanese sandwiches which are dry and thin with tiny bit of filling inside. I tried Japanese original menu; Green Tea Muffin (¥230), It was kind of dry.

By the way, there is no such thing as one sanwich portion over here, that's just in Japan! That is so funny! Green tea muffin.. hmm. Wish they'd do that here too. I like their banana bread with icing. Can you get that in Tokyo too?

Seems like all cakes manu are Japanese original. Different taste bud? We don't appreciate icing (You are away from Japan too long) much in Japan!! But I want Japanese Pret to sell vineger crisps! They must have it!!

But it's not like the hard extremely sweet English style icing you find on English birthday cakes and wedding cakes. It's more American style soft icing made with creamcheese (i think). I'm sure the Japanese will like it too. Yeah, they should sell salt n vinegar crisps. Do they have vegetable crisps?

Made with cream-cheese... sounds like Cinnabon' icing. I wanted to eat Cinnabon but the boom has died down... it looked good but I'm sure it will be too sweat! んな事ない？ I didn't check vegetable crisps @ Pret. Do you like them? I know Muji sells them.

never heard of cinnabon but checked out the website. アメリカ～って感じやね。Pret banana cake icing seems even less sugary than cinnabon icing. from the look of it in the photo.

知らなかった。アメリカ～っだね。でも I want glazed blueberry on the bottom center. 横のsourcreamも気になるな。NYに住んでる日本人はクリ・クリって呼ぶらしい。ロンドンでももそう？シナボンは2000年頃に日本で大ブームだったのかな。今は姿を消してしまったけど。

オールドファッションもちろん知ってます！じゅんちゃんらしいチョイスですね。Old Skoolやしね、オールドファッションは。私も好きです。でもめちゃ甘いけど中にクリームの入ったやつも好き。なんやったけ？エンジェルクリームって名前やったけ？やっぱり甘党なんかな、わたし？じゅんちゃんはすぐ『甘すぎ』とか、『甘そう！！』とか言ってるけどね。

あはは！実は日曜日にカーステンとミスドのドーナツ食べたんだ。それでカーステンがそのエンゼルクリームを選んだの！もちろん味見してアマッ！と思ったし、カーステンは美味しそうに食べてたけど、私は丸い（中に何か入ってる）ドーナツを選ぶのなんてアンタぐらいやで！と心の中で思ったのでした。でもケイコもだったのね・・・。でもなんでだろうね。わたしも120%甘党だと思うんだけど。甘くて塩っぱいとか苦いとか、なんかヒネリがないと納得いかないのかも？
