ジンジャーエールと言えばやっぱりウィルキンソン。いや、ココのはジンジャエールでジャーと伸びないんでした。ショウガ汁かと思うほど舌がビリビリくる辛さですが、お酒と割って飲むにはコレくらいじゃないと。もう他のメーカーのは買えません。

I see that WILKINSON' ginger ale is the best one for me, after all. It's very spicy, almost like drinking a pure ginger juice, but very nice to mix with alcohol. I can't buy other brand' ginger ale anymore.

イギリス人のウヰルキンソンさんが（偶然、兵庫で炭酸鉱泉を発見）日本でウヰルキンソンタンサンを発売し始めたのが1904年。なんと100年前の事。でも兵庫県にあったウヰルキンソンタンサン鉱泉工場は残念ながら1993年に取り壊されてしまったそうです。（1951年からはアサヒ飲料が受託生産開始）見てみたかったなぁ、歴史ある工場。ビンは再利用して使われているのでたまに傷だらけの物にも出会いますが、そんな時はお疲れさんです！ってウレシくなります。ストレートで飲みたい方はドライの方をどうぞ。色も味も薄めだヨ。

In 1904 Mr Wilkinson from UK started to sell 'Wilkinson tansan (soda)' in Japan (he found a carbonated mineral spring in Hyogo prefecture by accident). It was 100 years ago! It's a shame that the Wilkinson factory in Hyogo was turned down in 1993 (Wilkinson drinks has been produced by Asahi Soft Drinks since 1951). I wanted to visit the factory. The bottles are reused and I sometimes see really old bottles with lots of scratches. I feel happy to see them. Respect! If you want to drink it straight, I recommend the Dry one. The color and the flavor are much lighter.

No, I think we didn't see the drink menu at your dad' restaurant. So we didn't see GIBLIN cocktail on the menu either! いきなりだけど炭酸飲料の作り方を発見。ラムネビンでラムネを作る方法もあって、なるほど～。

Hi tom, welcome to LDK! You might not find Wilkinson in a supermarket. Visit your local liquor shop! Does anyone know good sodas? Let us know. I usually slake my thirst with YEBISU beer!

Hi Lesli, welcome to LDK! I don't know if you can buy Wilkinson... You can try some Japanese shops where sells Asahi beer (Asahi drinks is producing Wilkinson), but maybe not! Because this is not very popular even in Japan. Do you know the shop called Rice Wine on 82 brewer street? If you are near there, pop in and ask them to import it! Good luck!!
