wheat flour noodles
When I eat Udon (wheat flour noodles) at home, frozen Udon is the best for me (except a present from the special district!). Just after a minute of cooking, noodle is perfectly al dente, slightly resistant to the tooth. It won't be like this if I use fresh noodles. Can't fool the frozen food! I always keep some stock in our freezer but I bought more because it was 40% off at the local supermarket yesterday. When I left the cashier, I saw a bargain info for tomorrow. It said 'frozen Udon 50% off'. Doh!

お元気ですか? Noodles are the best food, so so easy, i eat them everyday, usually for breakfast, I get some japanese one's at seewoo foods in chinatown, they are cooked in 1 minute too, but the al dente frozen one's sound great jun, i'm gonna try and find them here in the UK. Are the "さめきうどん" in the photo the frozen one's that i should look for, or any other brands that you know?

Hi gabes! 元気です。gabesさんもお元気でしたか?Eating noodles for breakfast?! You should live in Sanuki! Sanuki/さぬき is an old way of calling Kagawa, the smallest prefecture in Japan. 'さぬきうどん' is Udon from Kagawa, and famous for the texture of noodles. Apparently, there are so many Udon dinners in Kagawa, people are mad about Udon! This Udon is made by Katokichi/カトキチ. I heard that Nissin/日清' frozen Sanuki Udon is also good. Maybe you can find them at the Japanese food shop on 82 brewer street?
