travallor
This is a washing up liquid bottle. It is probably early 70's, since then it had been used for a long time in my husband' home, until I saw it! Maybe I was clamouring too much, and his mum kindly gave it to me (I was just his girlfriend at that time)! HAKAWERK, the maker of this bottle still have a product called travallor. But it looks different. It seems like all-purpose household cleaner was inside. The colour, shape and the feeling of a material, everything is just perfect, it is a great plastic product from the good old time. I want to use this in our kitchen for a long time.

yes. It really is lovely. I've been wondering though, why did Carsten's mother keep the container for so long? Are all Germans as eco-friendly? I should recycle more!

I think this was one of the first eco-products where content and container are sold separately, to reduce waste. You buy the bottle once and only refills after that. Anyway, this orange plastic bottle has been part of my surroundings as long as I can remember.

I think people started to buy 'Refill-Product' since the 90's in Japan. I'm not so eco-friendly but I usually buy refill stuff for shampoo, soap etc. I don't think there was a refill for 'Fairy'. How about now?

Of course not! We're crap at recycling here! We do get fabric conditioner in recyclable cartons but that's about it! My collegue here said that there is a 'refrigerator mountain'in Lewisham, where everyone dumps their old broken fridges! They're probably leaking chemicals slowly into the earth! When I was a kid there was a really good public information advert on tv. It told you to break the door off your old fridge before you dumped it, so that poor kids who played in it in the street didn't get trapped inside and suffocate! Nx
