omiyage
My husband came back from snowboarding. He brought omiyage (souvenir) for me, it was just a container of his lunch box!! I expected something completely different, something edible! But I found the name of Mashiko-yaki pottery on the back. Hmmm, actually it looks quite nice (!). A glaze colour is very nice and the feeling of the touch is kind of warm. The big letters of YOKOGAWA STATION on the side makes this proper souvenir product.

The shop Touge no Kamameshi Honpo OGINOYA (japanese only but you can see the pot is snowboarding!) started their business in 1886, and this lunch box has been was selling for 47 years in Yokogawa. Long history! Next time, I want inside too, please. I guess it was heavy/annoying to carry with your snowboard bag. Thank you Mr.! It shows how to cook rice with this pot (japanese only) on OGINOYA' site. I should try it. I don't like the plastic container (shape of a pot) for pickles. The more simple design would do it better with this pottery, I think.
