帰りに新宿NSビルのVICTORIAN PUB THE ROSE & CROWNという店へ。いわゆるロンドンにあるパブというよりも、パブとステーキ屋が一緒になった様な雰囲気。それでも壁に向かって座っている旦那は「ロンドンのレスタースクエア辺りのパブに居るみたい」と。確かに窓の外のマクドナルドはレスタースクエアっぽい。で、このレストランをネットで検索してみたら本気でロンドンのパブを再現したいお店と言う事がわかりました。なるほど
新橋店なんて、写真ではかなり雰囲気出てます。そう言えば、注文したピザは素晴らしくロンドンぽかったです。まぁ普通、パブでピザは無いけど。フライドポテトはロンドンの方が美味しいかな。（旦那の携帯で写真を撮りました。画像、悪すぎ！）
After the exhibition, we went to VICTORIAN PUB THE ROSE & CROWN in Shinjuku. It looked like a mixture of a pub and Angus Steak House to me. Even though, my husband told me that he felt like he was in a pub somewhere in Leicester Square in London. I could see McDonald's outside the window, ...maybe the atmosphere is bit similar to Leicester Square. I searched their web site, and I found out that they actually trying to reproduce a British pub in Tokyo seriously. The
Shinbashi branch seems quite a good one from the photograph. Actually, the pizza we ordered was London style! Well, nobody eat pizza at a pub though. I think chips could be much much better in London. (I took photos by C' mobile camera. Not good in a dark.)
