letter from a police officer
While I was away, it seems like that a police officer visited our flat, and he left a letter. It says 'Make your home more secure. A flat was burgled in this building recently.' on a big smiley cute peepo (Tokyo Metropolitan Police' mascot). We got a security camera in a lift just 2 weeks ago. I wonder if we had a burglar first or a security camera. Or probably the neighbourhood isn't safe any longer. There was also a form in the envelope. If we write our work/relatives addresses/phone numbers, they can contact us/them smoothly in case of emergency, something like a fire I guess. Oh well, it isn't a very happy topic. It made me down!

I really can't imagine our flat being burgled in Japan. But if it's not safe here, then maybe they should start by making Pipo-kun a bit more, like, authoritative? He looks like he wouldn't know a burglar from the janitor.

Maybe they should talk with devilrobots?

Hi Brian, welcome to LDK!
I'm a Peepo kun supporter, and I know that he is working very hard. I just saw him being a doorkeeper at someone's front entrance. The sticker says 'tighten security against a burglar'. Keep it up, Peepo!

I think Peepo kun and the Tokyo police are at least trying to do their job and that they seem to care. In London, if there was a burglary in a flat they don't really give a sh*t. When our old flat was broken into, a couple of police officers came humming a tune (really) and joking to eachother. They kind of took some finger prints but said they couldn't really do much and left in 5min or so. They probably were right and there probably wasn't much that they could do but their attitude really pissed me off! I want Peepo kun in London too!

I can imagine how annoying it can be in London! Japanese police officers usually don't look strong enough as same as peepo kun but they are doing OK, I think!

the cute peepo kun could never be imagined in germany, because german officialdom likes to be respectable and german mentality is like "big, strong = save and respectable" "cute, little= to be saved and not taken seriously " It's a pity, but it wouldn't work.:(

Hello Mute, when I went to Germany I saw a green and white police car. It was quite cute!
