Last night was the opening of the superheroes exhibition at a gallery in Bethnal Green, so you and C had your faces on a gallery wall again. A guy called Marcus came up to me and asked if I knew C as he recognised him from the drawings! Apparently he was in the year below C at RCA.He says hi!! Nx

Hi Jun! I was just drinking green tea out of one of these mugs in Åbake's studio yesterday, as it happens. I moved studio last month and I'm now one floor above them. I was most annoyed to find that, while both Bea and Shan had made it onto a mug, my own ugly mug had been left on the drawing board with a rejected design. (The company only ended up making 2 out of an original 4 mug designs -- or so Maki tells me!)

Dearest Jun, sorry for the size of the mugs. I do agree they are quite small in comparison to british full size tea mugs (which normally comes with full english breakfast). In the beginning, we did pour too much coffee, and we'd end up with no room for milk. Our skills have improved and we have much less coffee at a time (doesn't mean we drink less of it). James, there is no rejection, only a postponed situation. Nigel, where is the superheroes exhibition, please?

Hi! The superheroes exhibition is at an arts centre called Oxford House on Derbyshire Street, a couple of minutes walk up Bethnal Green Road from the tube station.It opened yesterday and is on for a month. I think the centre is closed on Monday. There are some cool photos upstairs and a nice video project where Hackney kids could dress up as superheroes and make their own toys. I made a game which generates people their superhero name and then I've been drawing them. I think you would recognise a few of them! Jun, Carsten, Silke, Kai, Mari and Rachel are all in the show.Is there a site where I can buy your stuff?

Hello Jun, Mr N, Jamesu and Abake! Nice mugs... Abake, I'm still waiting for you to deliver them so I can sell them at Saloon! (and the tshirts!) Also, I currently stock the 'baka' and 'kinoko' mugs by Emi Necozawa in the same series. I was also surprised when I received the mugs as they are smaller than average English mugs! Hello everyone, thanks for lots of comments! Nigel, congratulations for your superheroes exhibition! It's a shame that we are not there. I'm drinking morning coffee with the mug right now. My dearest ｡aba"ke, what a great mug! I love it (not only because we are on it), and I don't mind the size so much (probably this is the Japanese standard size anyway). But when I make tea with this mug, I might reuse a tea-bag to make another tea!! I hope people in London will be able to buy this mug from KEIKO's saloon soon! And hopefully other two mugs which are postponed will be on sale too, jamesu!

Hello everybody. First things first, I must confess to have been unable to log on to this particular page for ages and had to ask Carsten how to get back here. It is not that the web technology is that complicated, it is just me, stupid. anyway this blogging business is quite new for me and I haven't figured out how to handle plural conversations within the strange time of the webspace. Feels like ike being in a pub with lots of people who sometimes disappear for weeks but do come back and continue the same discussion. And this is for Rei: We made a new drawing of you and Alex thought it looked like you. Seymour's too.
