Yesterday, I went to Finland Cafe which opened for only four weeks at SPACE FORCE in Nakameguro. I really wanted to try the lunch (80 plates a day) by the Finnish embassy chef. Tomorrow is the last day for Finnish lunch. I arrived there 15 minutes after the opening time, but the cafe was already almost full. People didn't care about the rain. The waitresses were wearing nice shirts.
I paid ¥1,200 at the entrance and the waitress took me to a table. The service was good, everyone seemed very friendly but... I was disappointed about the food. I can't believe that I COULDN'T FINISH THE CINNAMON BUN! But I realised that the Finnish embassy chef didn't cook the lunch, he only made the recipe! Doh! Well, at least I had my favourite Herring in Sour Cream, so it's OK. In the small cafe, there were lots of great Finnish products for sale. I was quite happy to see some that I have at home. I love Finnish design. I wanted to buy one little thing, but I told myself not to. But I might go there again to buy it... When I left, there was a long queue outside the entrance.
