週末、友人宅に招待されオイシイ物をイロイロイロイロとごちそうになりました。オリーブの串揚げ、初めて食べたけど美味しかった～。さらにゴールドヴァッサという22Kの金箔入りの薬草系リキュールも味見。ゴージャス感たっぷりのこのお酒、ストレートで飲むにはキビシー甘さでした。

We were invited to a dinner party on the weekend, and we had lots of great food. I've never tried deep fried olives before, and they were very tasty. I also tasted an anise flavoured liqueur called Goldwasser. It has 22k gold flakes floating in it. Gorgeous! But it was too sweet to drink straight for me...

I believe you mean G*ldschlager, not G*ldwasser (though it would definitely make sense). At least, I'm pretty sure (there aren't many liquor that come with g*ld flakes floating in the bottle). G*ldschlager shots are indeed sickeningly sweet... and very dangerous for your mornings... Note: your blog doesn't seem to like the word g-o-l-d... it refused my comments until I removed it...
