The earthquake on Saturday was very strong, and I couldn't help screaming. A few bottles of alcohol fell down from the shelf, but they were thick glass bottles (like our tequila bottle), so they didn't break. But there is a big dent on our wooden floor. The cactus toothpick holder was broken by C last week. Even if C hadn't broken it last week, it would have broken in the earthquake yesterday. I knew that it would break sooner or later.

When I saw this toothpick in a shop in London, I thought that I don't use toothpicks so I wouldn't need it. But I put my hand on the toothpick holder, and the base came off and smashed on the floor. The shop assistant smiled and told me that this was the only thing I could have broken in the shop. I wasn't sure if she was being nasty or trying to cheer me up. But as she was cleaning the floor I felt bad so I decided to buy one. I didn't really need it, but it was on sale...
