This morning I remembered that a famous noodle shop called Yakumo (in Japanese) in Nakameguro will close down by the end of July. I thought it might be too late, but luckily today was the last day! I ordered 'Tokusei Wantan Men (Special Wonton Noodles)': chinese noodles with shrimp and meat wontons in hot soup. I enjoyed the meat wontons more than the shrimp ones. A new shop will open on Yamate street some time in August.

On my way back I noticed that the old tofu shop in Meguro-Ginza street (which is in Nakameguro) was torn down. Many ugly, boring new buildings are built here, and not many old buildings are left. It seems like these colourful buildings are also going to be torn down soon. Maybe this artwork is done by someone who is against the redevelopment program?
