We visited our friends at the Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel. The view from the bar on the 40th floor was very nice because of the dry weather and clear sky. I could see the Shibuya station area very cleary.

Yesterday our friend from the neighbourhood suggested lunch at pophot, a creperie in Gakugei-daigaku. I had a Galette with Egg, Cheese, Mushroom and Chorizo, it was sooo good! The outside was crispy with a slightly burnt cheese flavour and inside was very juicy. It was a perfect lunch for a beautiful sunny Sunday! When it gets colder I wil try a very sweet-looking Crepe.

P.S. It is open from 12-5:30pm and 7-10pm, closed on Wednesday.

I got a beautiful bowl (or gravy boat?) from an internet auction. This is from the Kilta series (relaunched as Teema later) by ARABIA, designed by Kaj Franck in 1952. I love the shape and position of the handle.

I haven't seen any nice earrings for a long time. These are very simple, I almost feel like I can make them myself (of course I can't), but the idea is very cool. I bought staples, they make me look like I stapled my ear. I love them, but I want the designer to make a 1cm shorter version, too! I also bought daytonas, their shape is derived from Daytona International Speedway. I think I bought these mainly because of the name! I want earrings shaped like Suzuka circuit before the next F1 season starts.

I've already written an entry about Bassett's Liquorice Allsorts last year, but this time, it's in a super big box! Our friend bought this at the airport. There are two bags of 450g inside! It must have been very heavy to carry, thank you T! I think this is the most disgusting food I like. The very colourful parts are too sweet and the black liquorice parts seem like rubber to Japanese people. So it's probably not a good idea to choose liquorice as a souvenir for Japanese people. I love eating this, but I'm not so keen on the pink and blue tablets. So I was very surprised to see a Japanese model eating these tablets in a Nissan March ad! Well done, Ms Model!

We tried Norwegian Gudbrandsdalsost brown cheese for the first time. It doesn't have a strong cheese flavour or saltiness, instead it tastes quite sweet, a bit like caramel. It also reminded me of peanut butter a little bit.

We got some cheese from Denmark. It was wrapped with nice blue wrapping papers (so Scandinavian to me!), so cute! And they smell a lot, that's how it should be! I wish it was easier to buy fresh smelly cheese in Japan!

Yesterday we went to the 1st Anniversary Party for Tokyo Art Beat. There were lots of people and I was happy for my friend who was organising this. Tokyo Art Beat is useful site with information about art events in Tokyo. Recommend!

The other day, I went to Nakameguro with my friends to walk around and we went to a cafe, a sushi restaurant and the pachinko shop which appeared in a Hollywood movie scene, and we finished with Frozen Mango Margarita. At the sushi restaurant, our friend ordered boiled octopus tentacle sushi. Great! I wouldn't try it. After he ate, he was shocked about the price (it was only ¥63), not about the taste or texture!

We quickly checked the Namaste India 2005 festival in Yoyogi park. The Chicken Tikka from an Indian restaurant in Chigasaki was great, very juicy. And the stage performances were very exciting.

We met my ex-flatmate from college times. I figured out that I hadn't seen her for more than six years. I can't believe it! It's nice that they are enjoying their first visit to Japan.
