When we wanted to have a good-bye dinner with our friends (this was also about two weeks ago!), we came across a nice-looking restaurant called INDIGO (in Japanese) near the hotel where our friends were staying. It looked French or Italian but it was California cuisine. Their food was great. I ate much too much!

We all spent a long time to decide what to order because everything looked so good. We shared an appetizer but I couldn't be bothered to take photos.

I guess they use organic vegetables for their salad, including whole carrots and daikon radish. It was interesting that they set the table with both fork and chopsticks.

I saw my favourite Pasta alla Chitarra in the menu, but I chose Grilled Beef and Foie Gras Burger with Truffle Sauce (something like that) in the end. It looked like this. Very high calorie and purine-rich food, but I shared my burger with C.

After dinner, we were very stuffed and I thought that I wouldn't be able to eat anything else, but as soon as the waiter told us that it was time for last orders, K and I asked what kind of dessert they had! We thought it would be nice to share one or two desserts between the six of us, but we orderd six desserts in the end! K's husband didn't want dessert, but five of us took only 5 minutes to finish the plate.

The waiters were great: very casual without being rude. I'm looking forward to going there again to eat Pasta alla Chitarra. And I'm still wondering why K's steak dish was called 'virgin beef'.

Yeah I wanna know what "virgin beef" was too! It sure tasted good though! Let me know if you and C go back there again. It was such a nice place with lovely staff.
