I like casual fashion, I owned something like 30 pairs of trainers, over 10 pairs of Levi's and at least 100 t-shirts since I was teenager, and my favourite hollywood fashion icon was (still is?)
Elliott from E.T.. But when I needed to be dressed up a little bit, I visited HELMUT LANG and I bought his beautiful bag, shoes, shirt, jacket and coats etc. Yesterday I received a card from the HELMUT LANG shop, and I was surprised read that the label will end with this season! A few days ago, I accidentaly found the shop card from 1993 (left on the photo) and it brought back nice old memories. I need HELMUT LANG!
We're in New Zealand right now and the local newspaper headline today was about a 74-year-old German tourist who's cycling around NZ (cool!) and happened to stray onto some Mongrel Mob (Maori criminal gang) land to camp for the night. He returned from a morning walk to find his tent and all belongings stolen. Kind locals took him to an outdoor equipment shop and they gave him brand new gear gratis, restoring his faith in New Zealanders.
This is relevant to your post (kind of) because the paper referred to him continuously as "Helmet" Harmann whereas surely his name must have been "Helmut".
