People put big blue sheets everywhere to sit on (without shoes, of course!) and to reserve their space. The whole area was covered with blue sheets and it was hard to walk without stepping on their sheets. C volunteered to save some space for us and went to the park around noon: an hour before we planned to meet and two hours before our first friends arrived (they were all late as expected!). All good places were gone, but
C sat next to a huge empty space reserved by a group who had come to the park at 5am to reserve a huge space. C and our friend K asked nicely and they let us sit in their space! Around 4pm, it got
more packed and there were drunk people everywhere. I wonder if people came to see cherry blossoms or to enjoy drinking parties outside. I guess we love both...
