On Sunday afternoon in the super busy Harajuku, I finally had a chance to go to Hachiku. It looks like a really expensive Japanese restaurant from the outside, but it is an old Osaka-style Sushi store, for take-out service only. While they prepared my sushi, I was sitting on an old wooden stool, drinking the hot green tea I had been served. It was very quiet, I was the only customer and I couldn't believe that I was next to
Meiji street. Apparently there are lots of grannies in the shop during weekdays and there is also a
Yotsuya branch which was established in 1924.
