俺の食に関する知識の大半は美味しんぼで得ました。 高校時代からの愛読書なのでもう人生の半分は富井副部長（の絶叫）に侵食されました（笑）俺は大笑いもしましたが感動してよく泣きましたね。おいしい物で人の心を動かすなんて素晴らしいじゃあーりませんか。特に重要なのは54巻、70巻、80巻。酒が全然飲めなかった俺を変えてくれました。旨い酒を知らなかっただけだったのです。今でもグラスビール一杯でクラクラめまいするほど弱いのですが、旨い酒は大好きです。最新刊は焼酎革命。これを読む前に俺は素晴らしい焼酎に出会いました。「白天宝山」という冨乃宝山で有名な会社の夏限定商品。焼酎なんて一切飲めなかったけれど、これを口にした時はまさに絶句でした。

美味しんぼ、私も大好き。日本からの帰りに毎回空港の本屋で買ってます。でもロンドンで読むのはつらいな〜。

hey jun, it's funny I'd not read comics for years, until I did that superhero drawing project when I lived with you. But I'm still buying one or two of the titles that I checked out for inspiration about three years ago, so watch out!! mind you it's better if you're borrowing them from the library!

「八竹」の時、栗田さん登場に「プっ」とふいていたんですが、ツッコミ入れておくべきでした…（笑）専用バッグがあるなんてスゴイ！ 私も感嘆詞キャラなんで（爆）、非常に親近感が湧きますが、多分マンガで「むほっ！」とか言ってる人はワキ役で、主役や大物キャラは冷静沈着で絶句系なんですよね？

美味しんぼ読んで目頭がジーンと熱くなるのはワタシぐらいかと思いましたが、かずにーさんもでしたか！富井副部長みたいなのがいたらウザくて仕方ないんだけども美味しんぼには欠かせないダメキャラですからね。アニメの副部長の声もこれまたウザくて、マンガのイメージにぴったり。声優さん、おみごと。ワタシは既にお酒は結構いけるクチなのだけれども、これから54巻、70巻、80巻を読むのが楽しみです。

KEIKO, そうだよね。確かに美味しんぼをロンドンを読むのはつらかったね〜。でも、日本で読んでてもつらい時はたくさんあるのヨ。庶民のワタシが買うにはムリな食材がいっぱい出て来るし〜。

kakakoさん、ツッコミ入れといて〜（笑）。ここ数週間、食べ物に関しては全て美味しんぼ思考でした〜。主役や大物キャラは冷静沈着に美味しさを言葉で表現していきます、ソムリエの様に。そしてうんちくを長々と語り始めるんです。美味しいものを前にあんまり長い話もアレだから、さぁさぁ食べよ〜、なんて思っちゃうのがワタシと脇役キャラなのです。

またなんだかステキなハンドバッグを大人買い？かと思ったら、図書館のバッグでヘナヘナ〜（笑） 美味しんぼはなぜかスルーしてきちゃったなぁ。スピリッツでしたっけ？毎週人に借りて読んでたんだけど、ギャグ系or4コマ専門だったからかな（笑） なんか料理のリアル描写とキャラとのギャップが、水木しげるを彷彿とさせるような、そんな印象しかありません。

スピリッツを読んでおきながらスルーだなんて〜！食べ物だけじゃなく風景だとか建物、歴史的背景みたいなのもリアル描写なんですよね。確かに激しいギャップ（笑）とは言え、大好きなんです。ストーリー展開もいつも似た様なもんで飽き飽きなんですけどネ。

Hello, I was searching for some information on Oishinbo manga and got your site. About 4 years ago my mother suddenly gave me 8 volumes of the manga ranging from volume 3-35. Would you know of a place I could get some more of the set or where I could sell the ones that I have? I am in New York City and I also may have to ask someone at the Kunikuniya for help too. Hi Ugin, welcome to the Oishinbo fan club :-) I don't really know about New York, but if there is Kinokuniya, they should be able to help you because Oishinbo is such a big manga that everyone knows! Do you think there are any Japanese-related notice boards at Kinokuniya or some Japanese stores? Thanks so much for the help! I'll check the Kinokuniya (I'm so sorry I spelled it wrong before. My little sister mispronounces it and I think I have her version stuck in my head!) and also the Book Off soon to see if they have more or can get more for me.
