梅農園に注文した5キロの梅がナンダカンダで4キロ弱しか使えなかった。その事を梅農園にメールした翌日、詫び状とともに立派な大玉の梅(ワタシが買った梅より
ひと回りビッグなの)が1.8キロ弱ほど送られて来た。そんなわけで(話は前後するけれど)金曜日に我が家にあったビンを総動員で作ってみたのが(下の写真左から)梅654g+ウォッカ784.8ml+きび糖327g、梅515g+博多麦焼酎天盃 618ml+沖縄黒糖206g、梅146g+しょうゆ146cc(梅醤油)、梅84g+味噌84g+きび砂糖50.4g(梅味噌)、梅254g+氷砂糖254g(梅シロップ)、梅260g+キビ砂糖152g+氷砂糖108g(梅シロップ)。3Lサイズの大きな(小さい物より高価な)梅をサービスで頂いておいてなんだけど、大玉はかさ張るので使いにくい。小さめのビンだと数が全然入らないんだな。今年漬けた梅は、計
9瓶。既に漬かってる梅酒が
4瓶(左から2004年もの、ウォッカ梅酒2つ、ラム梅酒)。置き場に悩むのはいつもの事。



I ordered 5kg of ume plums, but there was a mistake and I didn't receive enough. I emailed the ume farmers and the next day, they sent me about 1.8kg of
bigger and better plums for free! It was very nice of them to give me bigger (and more expensive) plums, but I prefer the smaller size. Bigger plums require bigger bottles! I collected all the bottles I could find in the flat and I made (from the left): Vodka Umeshu (654g ume plum + 785ml Stolichnaya Vodka + 327g sugar cane), Shochu Umeshu (515g ume plum + 618ml 100% barley Shouchu + 206g brown sugar from Okinawa), Ume Soy Sauce (146g ume plum + 146cc soy sauce), Ume Miso (84g ume plum + 84g Miso + 50g sugar cane) and two types of Ume Syrup (one with 254g ume plum + 254g crystal sugar and the other with 260g ume plum + 152g sugar cane + 108g crystal sugar). I just counted the bottles I made this year: there are
nine new ones and I already had
four from previous years (from the left: one from 2004, two with Stolichnaya from 2005 and one with Bacardi gold rum from 2005). I'm running out of bottles and storage space...
