la paradeta
Our friends picked us up at Barcelona Airport and took us to a restaurant called La Paradeta. This was a very very nice place, I loved it! By the entrance of the restaurant, lots of fresh fish and shellfish were on display, similar to a market. We chose what and how much to eat and how we wanted them to prepare it (boil, grill, fry). After paying the bill, we received a receipt with a number and waited at the table. When our number was called, we picked up our seafood from the counter... it would have been impossible without our Barcelona friends. I want to thank them again, Muchisimas Gracias!

プランチャ・カラマリ(イカの鉄板焼)350g(¥2,150/kg)。

Apparently this restaurant is very popular and there's always a queue outside. It was packed, but it was the first day of a three day holiday, so we luckily found a table without waiting.

This is what we had between four of us:
380g of Gamba (prawn) Salada, €19.80/kg, boiled, with Salsa Romesco sauce.
360g of Chanquetes (small sardines), €21.50/kg, deep fried.
450g of Chipiron (small squid), €12.40/kg, deep fried.
350g of Plancha Calamares (squid), €14.40/kg, grilled.
2 portions of Navajas (razorclams), €9/portion, grilled.

We were all so stuffed, but everything was so tasty, so I felt like I could eat more: octopus, monkfish, lobster... Let's wait for the next time.

In Japan we eat quite a lot of fish, but it was my first time to have only seafood for a meal, without any other ingredients or vegetables. It was so tasty that I didn't even have any bread. I think the empty shells on my plate showed how much I enjoyed the meal. We also had a bottle of white wine and some water and bread, the final bill was €47.80. Even considering a weak Yen and a strong Euro, it was quite a good price. I think it was Excelente!
