The 11th of January was Kagami-biraki so I opened our Kagami-mochi (New Year decoration) shaped plastic mould and I was quite shocked to find only four small rice cakes inside. It's quite difficult to cut mochi, so small pieces are easier to use. But I expected more mochi inside. I usually buy the version made out of real mochi from a rice shop, I think it's quite expensive. But I realised that this decoration was even more expensive!
Oh my! We had pretty much the exact one (my parents bought it in Atari-ya)! I was also shocked & cheated to see the 4 small round mochi... Just not right is it. Anyway, Happy New Year to you both! May year 2007 bring you lots n lots of happiness & fulfillment! T xxx
Happy New Year, Nigel!!!
We are doing fine. I hope you had a great holiday and a happy new year. I can't believe that I forgot to drop you a packet. Wait a bit more.
