I'm happy about my new MacBook, but there is one problem. I spend too much time playing the games which came with my MacBook! I mainly play 4 In A Row. It's a very simple game and actually I wanted to know the name of this game for a long time. I saw a 3-D version of 4 In A Row at C's favourite bar, and I wanted to buy one for myself. I didn't expect I came across like this! I wonder if I can find one in Tokyo somewhere.

As I was cleaning the kitchen, I realised that I had forgotten about my Bodum chopping block. We are both taller than the Japanese Industrial Standard size, so cooking or washing dishes for a long time is quite tough. I had bought this because it makes the worktop 9cm higher, which might make it a bit more comfortable to cook. It was good to use it again after a long time. But with its size of 21x21cm it's not perfect for doing lots of chopping (cabbage for Chinese dumplings, for example).

Yesterday, we went to a sushi restaurant with our friend M. She ordered Toro-taku which I'd never heard of. It was Toro (fatty tuna) and Takuan (pickled daikon radish), and I found that it was nice to have two different textures in my mouth. We got a fresh wasabi root for free, and it came with a sharkskin grater by Chojiro which I've always been wondering if I should buy or not. They use the huge one, but I think the smaller one looks better.

I got a pair of sake cups from an internet auction. They are meant to be a married couple. The sizes are different, so I can put the smaller one inside the other. Good for storage. There is writing inside the cups, it says 'you live to be a hundred' for the wife, and 'I want to live to be ninety-nine' for the husband. They were a bit freaky at first, but after finding these phrases, they look very nice. I hope we can enjoy drinking, even when our hair turns grey.

I borrowed a book called 'Arimoto Yoko no Dougu Erabi' (Choosing Kitchen Tools by Yoko Arimoto) from a library. The book design is very simple, printed in black and white, I liked it. Inside the book, I found too many kitchen gadgets that I want to have, especially this donabe (a Japanese earthenware pot), it's a beauty. I fell in love! We use our Le Creuset pot to cook hot pot dishes, but it doesn't give me the right atmosphere, so I wanted to buy one. The hot pot season starts soon. I checked the price on the site (Japanese only) and... I'm heartbroken! I can't spend four ¥10,000 notes for a donabe!

I'm watching the Athens Olympic swimming races every day. I enjoy the record times and the swimming styles, and also the swim cap designs. A few swimmers from Zimbabwe, Croatia and America were wearing a strange cap. It looked like a skinhead wig to me! I found out that the Japanese team replica silicone swim caps are on sale, but I want the German one. Does anyone know where I can buy the cap?

These days, I receive only bills and detailed statements in my letterbox at home. I use my index finger to open them. I love this olivetti paper knife but I don't use it often. It is designed by Marcello Nizzoli, he used the bird as the motif as same as LEXIKON80. Last month, we receiced the invitation letter for our friends' wedding party. I opened it with this knife. Nice.

It was about 15 years ago, when I used a salty toothpaste for the first time. It was just weird and a blue and white stripy toothpaste was much cooler to me as a teenager. And now, I LOVE a salty toothpaste. I've been wanting to try Margaret Josefin' sweety salt flavour for a year. My husband came across his old time toothpaste aronal by GABA at Tokyu Hands. It was very shocking price though! This blue package is for morning and the orange one called elmex is for night brushing. This is a classic toothpaste. Not so special for me! The toothpaste in the middle of a photo makes lots of tiny bubbles in mouth. It makes me feel like throwing up. My husband doesn't believe me though.

I've been looking for a nice kettle since last Summer but none of the kettles strike my heart yet. We have been using a tiny milk pot to boil water more than a year. We used to have a cordless electric one from Bodum in London. I drink only 2 cups of coffee these days but I used to drink 5-6 cups of tea a day, so that this quick heating kettle was very useful. But I'm looking for a normal kettle because there are no space for it in the kitchen, and I want to make barley tea in a kettle in Summer.

I haven't had this strong feeling for ages. I want a paella pan! Of course, I also want to cook and eat paella. But there are lots of things to think about ...

We got these wine glasses as a wedding gift last year. We really love them. Can you see the glasses are slightly distorted? These are hand blowed by drunken craftsmen! Great idea! All of six glasses have a slightly different shape. Designed by William warren. I like his plate too!

This Hackman' cutlery set was a wedding present from our friends. Matt brushed stainless steel is very cool and I love it. But there are many tiny scratches! Noo! I want this cheese knife from the same Cittalio （name of the designer）98 series, too!

A cool sesame grinder from a nice little shop. It carries out the ultimate sesame flavor. I want iiiiiit!

Living in Japan, a name stamp is very necessary item. Since I got married and changed the surname, my name seems too long for a stamp (usually 1cm diameter of a circle). Is it possible? I asked the digital stamp' website to make a gif image of our name stamp (no charge!). Wow, all characters fit in there! I might ask them to make a real one!

Here is another Mac story, it is also happy mac. I started to collect McDonald's happy meal toys since 1995. We sometimes went to Mac, even while dating! Mac has been stopped making toys with Mc characters for about two years and I am having a quiet life! I have moved 7 times in these eight years, and all toys are in boxes at the moment. Some day, I want to build a shelf using a whole surface of a wall (or 2 walls) to put all my toys up. If any toys which I do not have are rolling in your (or your nephew and niece) room, please give it to me!

My first Studio m' was a cup called bechamel. I don't drink cafe 'o lait with this but using for yoghult, cereals and soup etc... I want plates for stew next time. (I can't believe that I mention about stew in a summer.) These earthenware' surface isn't very smooth so I prefer to use a wooden spoon not a metal one. Am I too sensitive?

Again! I was easily completely taken in a corporate strategy. In a store, I happened to see Torys whisky which comes with a free glass by Ryohei Yanagihara. When it filled with a cold liquid, uncle torys' face turned into red. I talked to C and decided to get 2 bottoles (at the moment?). I have to find a good recipe to get rid of these whisky (then think about getting more?). I got a tooth-pick container from an old campaign as well. I want his book too!

The wenger' bread knife was always on top of my wishlist. Finaly, I decided to own one! Nnn?... did I find a fake wenger knife? The logo is different. Is this just an old logo?

I couldn't win this set of containers for seasoning by Hankusan Touki. It's hard to find good designed containers for vineger and japanese chill (a mixture of red pepper and other spices) so I wanted it. I was bidding from my mobile in a izakaya bar but become bothering... somebody else won it in the end. This was a beautiful deadstock product designed by Masahiro Mori and produced in 1959-63. Sigh!

I've been crazy about this Dansk tray designed by Quistgaard, after I found it on an internet auction. I've never seen the real one yet, but I'm sure it's so cooool. A Bidding has ended for the tray today with $256.00 of a winning bid (the final price which finished yesterday was $202). The measuring is 51.4cm L, by 22.9cm W, and it is a boat shape. Awesome!
